Gina has painted on and off for a few years trying different mediums and subjects.  Since taking early retirement 3 years ago she has more time to spend on her painting.   

Her preferred medium is watercolour but she has also dabbled in acrylic paints and gouache.  She has recently discovered a love of flower painting mainly in watercolour, and she also enjoys still life.

Gina finds inspiration for her paintings from her garden which is well stocked with a variety of flowers and shrubs.  There is never a shortage of subjects from which to paint because even in winter there are always fallen leaves and berries to be found.

She has lived for the past 26 years in North Yorkshire , and during her regular forays into the countryside always has her digital camera and sketch book handy, ready to capture the beauty of wild plants and flowers to be found among the hedgerows and woods.

Gina has completed a painting course at The Open College of The Arts, where she has had some of her paintings exhibited at the National Exhibition.
